SFGH partner Jonathan Friedland will lead a Private Directors Association panel discussion on August 7 titled, “The Effective Director." The discussion will be useful to experienced and new directors alike - as more and more privately owned companies are moving to include outside directors, this discussion is particularly timely. Friedland, who has been advising private company and not-for-profit boards of directors for more than two decades, and his panel will first lay out the basics of the minimum a board member must be prepared to do to fulfill her or his duties and then will move onto discuss what separates merely good directors from excellent ones.
