Richard Sugar publishes latest article as monthly columnist with Pioneer Press, entitled, "Eavesdropping, Privacy and Face Recognition, Oh My!"

Richard Sugar currently serves as a monthly columnist with the Pioneer Press, authoring a monthly column on issues involving finances, taxes and the law, entitled, "A Spoonful of Sugar."  Richard's most recent article, published on June 5, 2014, is entitled "Eavesdropping, Privacy and Face Recognition, Oh My!" and addresses the growing invasion of privacy by the use of technology, and the turmoil in Illinois law over eavesdropping.  The Pioneer Press is a weekly newspaper published by the Sun Times which customizes editions particular to several Chicago suburban markets.  Richard's column has previously addressed such topics as - the smartest ways to gift to charities, examining the impact of new laws in 2014, comparing sales tax rates of various municipalities in the Chicagoland area and the impact on consumer shopping, the coming climax of the battle between bricks and mortar stores and online stores, common estate planning pitfalls encountered by celebrities, and the dominance of "media pipeline producers" over the manner in which people obtain information and entertainment.
