Lisa Vandesteeg named "40 Under 40" by American Bankruptcy Institute
Elizabeth “Lisa” Vandesteeg has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2017 “40 under 40” class. Vandesteeg, a partner with Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Hammer LLP and an accomplished commercial litigator, cybersecurity and data privacy expert, and corporate restructuring attorney, was awarded the honor earlier this month. ABI’s selection of Vandesteeg follows other similar accolades, including her being named an “Illinois Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters for 2016 and 2017 and her recognition by the same organization for prior five consecutive years.
In addition to managing a busy legal practice, she serves in several industry leadership positions. These include being: a managing editor of the popular treatises, Commercial Bankruptcy Litigation and Strategic Alternatives for and Against Distressed Businesses; an editorial board member of Financial Poise; a board member of the Chicago IWIRC Network; co-chair of the Bankruptcy Court Liaison Committee for the Northern District of Illinois; and associate editor of the ABI Journal.
