Jack O'Connor is an associate at the firm, whose practice concentrates on representing corporate clients in complex reorganization proceedings, and counseling businesses in all phases of their development and operations. 

Jack works with clients across the country in complex chapter 11 proceedings representing unsecured creditors’ and equity committees, debtors, and chapter 11 liquidation trusts. He is a skilled negotiator who helps clients reach practical goals while navigating complicated business transactions in and out of court. As an associate in the firm’s Bankruptcy, Reorganization and Creditors’ Rights practice group, Jack understands how to meet the needs of clients facing the legal realities of distressed business situations. Jack has been recognized for his work in the restructuring space by SuperLawyers magazine as a Rising Star 2 years in a row, and was recently named an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers magazine for 2015.

In addition to his work in the restructuring sector, Jack counsels corporate clients in all phases of their operations and development, with a focus on counseling startups in the craft beverage and spirits sector. Jack’s experience dealing with these specialized regulatory and compliance issues at the local, state, and federal level proves invaluable to clients forming and running businesses. Jack is also the firm’s liaison to the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild. As an advocate, Jack is committed to finding creative and practical solutions for his clients, and works to provide them with the highest level of legal service.

Jack lives in the western suburbs with his wife, son, daughter and their two dogs. He is also a recreational endurance athlete and homebrewer.
